Secondary Monitor

StealthArsenal

Good Morning everyone,

As some of you might have seen, last month I was in search of a new primary gaming monitor and I settled on the ROG Swift.  I paired it with one of my existing 1080p monitors, but I now want to swap the 1080p monitor because it looks awful next to the 1440p screen.  With that said, I won't be gaming on the monitor it is more for my day to day multitasking and such.  I have been looking at a couple of monitors for this but wanted to get some feedback.

The 4k would run at 1440p if I went this route.

Two of the monitors are ips/pls while the latter is a TN panel similar to the Swift.  I understand the concept and premise behind the ips/pls with respect to colors and viewing angles and such.  I was able to tune the swift with its onboard controls and with the nvidia control panel to make it look pretty sharp.  Thoughts on the panels?

I haven't seen the PB278q in a while, but I assume its similar in style and/or sizing to my swift.

Thoughts on this.

thanks for the help.

Running a 4k monitor in 1440p isn't a very good idea, since it isn't an even devider. Text will look pixely in that case. I'd go for a 1440p monitor directly. The Asus is excellent, but if you don't want to spend that kind of money, the Acer will be fine too.

Thanks for the responses guys.  I went ahead and ordered the Acer monitor.  Newegg had a promo, so I purchased it there instead of heading to Microcenter.
