single channel vs dual

Go to solution Solved by GlassBomb,

in a Z97 build that i'm planning to do, i'm planning to get  a single stick of 8 gb ram on a 4 slot mobo. the thing is, i might wanna upgrade to 32 in the future. How big is the difference in performance in single and dual channel? 1866 ram btw.

You'll be fine. There performance difference isn't much at all. It's a really, really slim difference.
