Lately I've been doing research in buying a gaming laptop. Nothing too bulky but just portable since I tend to carry my laptop everywhere I go. I'm on a $2000 budget and I know most will say, " just build a gaming desktop". I'm never home so that is why I'm looking for a laptop instead.

The top two laptops I'm really liking right now are the Lenovo Y50/70 and the MSI stealh pro but I'd like to hear your suggestions :)

I've seen a lot of people recommend the Lenovo Y50 before, heck I almost bought it. I'd probably recommend going either down that path or that of the MSI GE70 Apache Pro. There is also the Razer Blade coming in at around $2200.

Get the Clevo P650SE (Sager NP8651). 970M, Tri-fan cooling, tons of customisability.

I like MSIs Ghost platforms. They are around 800-1500$, but they are really thin, look nice, and have the hardware to back it up.

Don't they only come in 3k though?

This is the best choice for these things.

Razer Blade is a rip-off methinks

It is.

It doesn't matter if someone likes the machine, it is not worth their asking price.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

I was looking into the GS70 and I really liked it.

Would the following model be worth aying $2200

  • Intel Core i7-4710HQ (2.5GHz, 6MB Cache)
  • 16GB DDR3L 1600 MHz
  • 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive, 512GB mSATA Solid-State Drive
  • 17.3-inch Full HD eDP Anti-glare Screen; NVIDIA Geforce GTX970M with 6GB GDDR5 VRAM
