Weird boot issue

Yoola

I'm having a little problem while booting. It doesn't happen every time but it happens often and it bugs me a lot.

When I press power button, PC starts running but the output display doesn't turn on, as it isn't even connected to it. So I have to push reset button and I don't like to push it a lot.

I took a risk and I updated BIOS, but it didn't help (Maybe because latest BIOS is from 2012 for this MoBo). Is there maybe some option in the BIOS menu or anything to help me resolve the issue?

Thank you so much for your answer.

My PC :( specs are :

ASRock N68-VS3 FX

AMD Phenom II X4 965 @ 3.4GHz

CoolerMaster Hyper212 EVO

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 2GB

Spire SP-ATX-450WTB-PFC-2

TOSHIBA DT01ACA100 1TB

(SORRY, NOW I REALISED I'M AT WRONG CATEGORY - can someone move this topic to Troubleshooting?)

have similar issue with asrock AMD motherboard (985GM FX)

i don't know what cause it, I don't know what to fix it except doing the exact same thing

it doesn't happen with intel motherboard.

I've already switch everything, using different processor, psu, ram, hdd, gpu...

power on, and reset 3 second after it's on.

  • 2 weeks later...

Seems like it was MoBo issue because I recently had to reset jumpers (when i overclocked CPU). It hasn't happened in a while now...
