Powerful Intel Rig [Beast]

I've made a post before about this and it helped me narrow down my needs/expectations of this build I'm planning for a week now.

You can see my current rig down below, not too shabby, right? Thing is, I've finally put enough money aside to put together a beast of a computer. What do I mean by that? Well:

1) The kind of computer that I won't have to worry about upgrading anytime soon

2) The kind of computer that can game on 4k with decent fps, nah, scratch that, awesome fps

3) The kind of computer that I can call a beast without any internet troll such as myself saying: "Well it's okay and all but you could do a lot better"

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2KwvkL

This is the rig so far. I'm thinking of switching over the 4790k for the 5820k and getting a better SSD. Now in terms of GPU+PSU, I'm waiting for AMD's new 3xxx series to drop, price drops and more choices for me. So far I'm thinking 2-way SLI 980s, but in my country, Greece, for just 100 bucks more I can get a Titan X. I know it's overkill a bit, but as I stated above, I want this to be a solid rig for at least the next couple of years.

Budget? Anywhere between 1k to 2.5k euros.

Go wild with your ideas, just consider the fact that we can use some stuff from my current rig.

1. 2 way GTX 970 won't give amazing FPS at 4k unless you turn the settings down

2. What sites are you purchasing the parts from? This will allow me and other forum members to make appropriate builds for your country

Yes they will. Running GTA at 4K with very high settings on two 970 from Gigabyte.

GTA V isn't that GPU demanding, it's more of a CPU based game. I've heard of people running GTA V on high with a GT730 at 35 FPS.

1. I would pick the Titan X over two 980s or just wait for 3xx.

2. If going for multi montior its a 3-way or you might as well get a widescreen.

3. I would spend a little more for a whole lot more for the cooler.

P.S 12Gb of VRAM > 4Gb (or on your build..... never mind..)

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

Keep your current setup, upgrade the GPU perhaps when R9 3XX series comes out. Add an SSD if you don't have one already. Do a full upgrade when Skylake comes out. The 8350 is still no slouch and should tide you over until then.

I would swap that v300 for bx 100. And get the Titan X so you don't have to get a new PSU. And get the i5 4690K you get zero preformance lost in games.

I'm pretty sure I need a PSU upgrade if I were to buy a Titan X. Also, I think I was clear on the whole beast PC thing, i5 is great for gaming and shit but I edit a whole lot more than I game. So an 4690k is not going to cut it at all.

That CPU cooler should be better - H105 / H100i recommended :)

That is a pretty mediocre (Well Average) Z97 Motherboard, there are higher end ones that might offer better features.

No Hard drive?

Looks great, why not go for the 4790k though?

Chances are games will not be supporting hyper threading any time soon. The games that do support it have a 10FPS difference max which is NOT worth the extra money.

Yeah I had decided to go with the h100i and forgot to switch out the partpicker part.

I have an SSD picked out and will be using my current HDD.

Games don't know the difference between threads and cores in most cases. So it's not that the game doesn't support HT but that it's only supports say 4 cores.

Yeah, sorry.

I am not a whole lot into cpu coolers but it had good reviews and I have seen some benchmarks with it performing pretty good.

Good that there is people that correct my mistake though.

Oh, I didn't realise you edited. Then, yes, yes it is. If you have any extra money to spend, save up for an MSI X99 SLI Plus and a 5820k. That'd mean having to buy new RAM too. I'd recommend 16GB seeing as you are editing :)
