So it happened. I swapped my Freelancer MIS for a HULL-C.

Picked up a Hull-D. Just have two ships now, and this will probably be the last time I spend money on the game. Anything else at this point I want to earn in game.

GHG does all the work. It is nice he thanks me in these things, but my role is tiny.  Always enjoyed his cargo videos, looking forward to seeing what he does with the new cargo system once it is finalized.

 

Hard to come to a decision on the Hulls, thinking maybe an A or B to ferry cargo to large ships might be useful for me, but the whole modularity concept that didn't really get explored yet is making me wonder about the larger ones.

They're talking about containers which could fit turrets, thrusters, power plants and so on, which is interesting because a Hull E could become a giant death star that way, but there will probably be a limitation for that.  :lol:

 

As for my decision I'm not 100% but 80% sure that I'll keep my Constellation. Yes, the Hull B is cheaper, smaller, lighter and carries more but it bugs me that the cargo is exposed for every greifer/Vanduul to shoot it off my ship. Also I guess the Constellation will have the edge in speed, maneuverability, armor and firepower so even if I can't find a good escort (or go without because I'm greedy) I'm more likely to make the trip in one piece with all my cargo.

Keep in my griefers in the verse are going to have all hell rain down on them on a regular basis. there is not much incentive to do really bad things with no profit gain

Well there are always trolls and it doesn't necessary need to be a player. NPCs can be assholes, too. I'm keeping my Constellation because it's for me overall the better ship.

I love my Constellation <3 cant wait to see what they do with the redesign
