Galaxy S 3 Boot Loop?

I'm trying to fix one of my friends phones. Its a S3 and I think its in a boot loop. I don't have to much android experience, but from what I know I think its a boot loop. It comes on and says Samsung, and if I try to do power+volume+home it says recovery booting in the top corner. Instead of starting that though, it just stops, so I cant get into recovery mode. I'm trying to get ADB logcat running on my PC, but I'm new to android (I'm a Windows phone Developer). I'm not sure if its something simple like the power button is being held down like she thought it was originally, or if its something like the rom is corrupt. I know I should clear the cache in recovery mode but I cant get to it. Any ideas?

Where are you from? Can you try volume down for download mode and tell me if there is model number in top left corner? If it is not there then you have faulty memory.

I'm working for Samsung and could possibly do it for free for you if you're from UK.

Download mode doesn't do anything. Just loops back. I'm from the US. She said that its been popping up saying that there was something wrong with memory but she just kept clicking ok. The model number that's behind the battery is SPH-L710. Its a Sprint phone

I was searching and I found something about how the S3 had problems with SanDisk SD Cards. There is a SanDisk in it. Would that cause this problem?

Most boot loops are caused by flashing custom rom improperly

Try re-flashing the phone, it will fix the loop at 95% chance

Go to download mode and use Odin instead
