Never preordered , never will , saw a great post on 9gag ( of all places ) with the difference between Battlefront (the new one ) and an older version . It's a huge disappointment , it's like worse than Battlefield 3&4

2000s born kids happened ...  Maybe it's not the main cause , but most of them came from COD when the series stagnated ( exactly at the time between BFBC2 and BF3 , when everything went to s**t ) . Now they realized people will buy any game they release , with people that complain only counting to 10% of sales . So if they milk Battlefront , they're only going to have 10% less customers , but 50% more money coming in from DLC ......

That image is horribly biased, was posed on reddit first and it was trashed for the fact that they are ignoring a whole lot of stuff. Like the fact that they confirmed in atmosphere space battles, or that they confirmed 5 vehicles (only one of which is on rails, AT-AT), and that there would be co-op "single player" mission style settings, and that the playable eras would be both classic and pre. Not to mention THEY HAVEN'T EVEN SAID WHAT WOULD BE IN ANY OF THE DLC YET.

 

I dislike EA as much as the next, and i hate the thought that this game could suck, but lets not sling mud before checking your sources. There are valid arguable reasons to dislike what we know about this game, we dont need to go making up new ones to suit our cause.

While i semi-agree with you , at the end of all released DLC , there will still be less content than past games AND it will be 2 times more expensive . Look at BF3 and BF4 . I bet it's going to be the same selling strategy . Game + 5 DLC + Premium for extra content for 120$ , to get the whole content deal.

Basically, it's destroying what games should be. While DEV's might want to make a good game, the amount of preorders and shitty dlc that people are willing to buy, makes companies like EA drool, and as a result, they push more and more and more to see just how much they can fuck the customer.

They will be "on rails" and only playable for a specific mission. I think the implication is that it will be something like the AC-130 in BF4.

Giving money to publishers who dont properly test their game anymore and release games with tons of bugs sonwe have to wait weeks for them to fix most of it.

Because they can get money from us before they release the game just feeds their greed amd makes them think: "the way we do things is good".

2 more than necessary. GTA V turned out to be a decent PC port, but what if it had been nearly unplayable. There's just no real reason to preorder these games.

Yeah , the one i posted was pessimist , the one you posted is optimist , the probably disappointing average between the two is making me not buy it because BF4 was a HUUUGE downer  for me . I thought that the game wont be as shitty as bf3 was at start , but no , it was WORSE . We'll see what reviewers say , if by some miracle it's not a huge pile of poo , then i'll try it .
