System wide EQ (Equalizer APO)

So I installed Equalizer APO, and...... holy balls is this a lot more complicated than I wanted it to be. Any one know how to use it? I want to set up an for my headphones, and maybe my mic (if that's possible). I know it is an eq, but I have no idea how to use it.

I have "Room EQ Wizard" installed as it says to do in their little guide, but I'm so lost.

If any one knows of a better guide than what they have on their site that would be good too.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Or a simpler way to achieve a system wide EQ. Im cool with that too.

EDIT 2: Re installed my Realtek drivers, and now there is an EQ there (yay!) However I'd love to learn how to use EQ APO, so my question still stands.

I use breakaway audio because I'm lazy, and you can't eq your Mic. You can pay for it or youtube how to crack.

Nah, I'm not into pirating, and I'll stick with free for now.

This thread is probably dead, but I can confirm, had quite a few issues and trouble figuring out the UI with Equalizer APO, but current version 1.1.2 seems to have fixed every issue I had, and Peace GUI makes it MUCH more user-friendly and attractive (with using teh custom appearance configs in Settings > Appearance.

Everything now works REALLY well including stereo upmix to 5.1 / 7.1 on all audio sources including Chrome and Firefox. Definitely worth using now imo

I am using it for a while. U have to add (green plus mark) 31-band  graphic equalizer, and on the right, u can raise the decibels. Thats it.

Just go on to oratory1990's post on Reddit and apply his parametric EQ to whichever headphone you want to eq. You can also do it yourself by looking at the frequency response graph and adjusting the eq to the Harman target and it'll probably sound better.
