My friend gave me his old pc, with this inside. I was wondering if A) I could overclock it B) itd be worth it C) what i should set everything at if i do it, Thanks in advance!

You could do it with the BLCK but i have no idea how to do it though.  :(

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

Sandy and Ivy Bridge has a semi-unlocked multiplier if the chip happens to be in a Z-series motherboard. By this I mean that the multiplier can go 400MHz above turbo frequency which in your case is 3.8GHz. So, if you are using a Z-series motherboard with your 2600, you will be able to achieve 4.2GHz on a decent air cooler easily.

 

I really wish more people knew this.

Yea the I7-2600 can easily hit 4.2. My I5 hits 4.2 daily for years. The i7's were even better...most people ran them around 4.4 at all times.

Yea by now they are all over the place. It all depends on your motherboard's bios settings. There should be so many youtube vids by now how to OC a chip like that.
