I'm not a fanboy; AMD doesn't have very good offerings right now :(

Have you already purchased this? It's an upgrade from what you have, not a major upgrade but it will perform a bit better.

Man Intel CPU's are expensive and i can't afford them, i think i will be fine with this one for a while. I can't pay like 350-500€ just for cpu:s

The LE version of that motherboard might have problem running the FX8 at anything other than stock.

If you haven't bought it already, I urge you to not buy it.  Go for a locked i5.

Yes recently got these, i know MB is just basic one but yeah. I was wondering how much better this performs in games or editing like in Sony Vegas or Photoshop?

I haven't really tried much yet.

300-500 euros???

thats insane... (300 is more than the top end 1150 i7 costs)

maybe look into i5's?  (certainly better than an 8350 in games)

Well i have bought them already, i'm not planning to overclock. I wish i had more money so i could go for i7 + better MB, but no money for them.

In finland the parts are expensive.

Intel Core i7-4790K = 400euros. And if i wanted good MB i need to pay 100e+

Games, not by much.  Editing, maybe a bit faster.

I'd wait for a chance to buy and intel CPU at a decent price.  The only known upcoming AMD CPU is a 16 core APU (not really meant for gaming)

Okay okay. So should i still get like i7 4790k or something next year or wait for new CPU from Intel?

If you can wait why not.  Skylane should bring some decent improvements

LE version of that motherboard isn't that great, could have probably gotten a locked i5 & H81/97 motherboard for that price which would be better in games & most other programs. 8350 isn't a huge upgrade over 1055T a lot of the time unless you're using all cores (in things like rendering), then it will be pretty significant.

One of my friends has the same combo for CPU/motherboard. Works well for him.

I have the 8350 and a sabertooth 990fx, and I'm a couple weeks away from switching over to Intel. Amd just doesn't cut it for me now that I got a higher end gpu, and I play some heavier single core reliant games now too. Planning on getting in to a little bit of video rendering and all that too.

Asus M5A97 LE is not a good mobo for a FX 8 core chip.

It simply lacks on a decent vreg design.

Allot of threads about this go over the internet.

The vrm´s and mosfets on that board will overheat like crazy.

I have the fx 8350 on asrock 990fx fatality and I'm cooling it with noctua nh-d14...

At first when I bought my pc I was very happy but I'm at that point that I regret buying fx 8350...

When I have the money...definitely will buy Intel CPU.

My thoughts are go with Intel.

To be an expert is to know more about less.
