dual core? probably not. required specs list quad core.

I doubt it, Rockstar said you had to use Quad Core CPU or maybe a dual core + Hyper-Threading (i3). @NeatSquidYT had contacted Rockstar and they said Quad Core, but @XTankSlayerX said that he could play GTA V with an i3.

 

For GPU, you can play the game with it.

I would say at 720p at low. 1080p will be impossible.

This always makes me wonder why people with FX CPUs have so many problems.

Few games utilize all of the FX 8350's "cores", leading to its low IPC being brought to the fore.

A console is designed to do only one thing, so while it's harder in some ways to code for, it's also easier, as you don't have to worry about other things running at the same time. It lets your programming be very "focused" It's why unity will actually run on a console, yet it wrecks PC's. (the console programming taps directky into the console, whereas the PC's has to go through directX)

An Xbox uses DirectX, its why they got called the 'Xbox' in the first place. DirectX box doesn't sound as good.

Can't remember where I read it, but both microsoft, and sony let ubisoft tap in directly to their hardware. I won't pretend it ran well on the consoles, but it also didn't have the bugs the PC version did.

Xbox one has a few thing always going on, hence why they went with the 8 cores. I am guessing it's more to do with the API than anything else. I am wondering if those with FX CPUs will indeed see an improvement with dx12.

They probably will, but don't forget that the benefits apply to all CPU.
