I actually made this around the time that I joined the forums as I recall, but just now decided to take some pics. I haven't actually had the fans in it go in who knows how long because I can't power the fans over USB (no adapters). Anyways, here it is.

Shanks. Took me like 3 hours (including mistakes) to get it down. :D

 

And trust me, it's worth it. I even made this one have wheels at one point.

 

Funny thing is, you actually might be able to use that with a few mods.

Watcha mean? Like the fans? Someone forever ago linked to a thing that would plug into USB and the fan and have it powered, but I can't find it again.

 

Now simply release the Kragle and it will be perfect forever.  Everything (about this) is awesome.

Don't make me open it.

Actually the fan's screw holes may even be compatible with the black lego technic pushpins as they're 5mm. The spacing is wrong though. But as one lego is 8mm wide the fans just drop in and fit perfectly. This is a genius idea. You put the fans in upside down though.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

Haha... just get an old USB cable and strip the coating back a bit till you get the power wires. Solder them onto the fan power and volia! Power! (ok its not controllable but you could solder in some kinda variable resistor or something from the local electronics store)

It's pretty fun. This took me about 4-5 hours (first try was 120mm, not enough Legos, second was with the dual-80 like final, but I broke it like 5 times).

Fans actually fit in PERFECTLY (like, you could not ask for a better fit), but they are held in with the skinny 2x2s, just in case.

 

And I actually found that with the fans like this, temps were the same, but everything was quieter. And less dust gets in my netbook. :P
