4K recording/write speed required?

What is the absolute required write speed for 4k recording? I'm using Shadowplay...

Depends on your quality setting, even the highest which is 150mbps is fine on any normal hard drive

Shadowplays highest quality setting in 4k except in 30fps... (obviously... It's for youtube. Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/SpurnOfHumanity) <<this link gets messed up... It's spurnofhumanity... :/

well its 150mbps which is like 18 megbytes per second - anything can handle that, even a like an SD card 

 

should not be an issue for any pc

Just about ;) I write to my WD Black 1TB when recording, and it uses it in 98%. It works, but if I want to do 60FPS in 4K when SSD caching it is.

seriously? i dont see why you would need a WD black .. a standard WD blue can write at over 70mbps even at its slowest speed, and we only need 18
