DIY Antec GX505 Mod

Hi guys,

Im planning my watercooling System right now. I already Have The Antec GX505, MSI Z97-G45, I7 4790K, 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport, GTX 960 Phantom GLH, 256 GB Crucial SSD and a DVD drive.

The case is really not the ideal case to put a big radiator in, so i will be using a dremel tool to make a few cuts. The bottom picture (h20.png) shows my basic layout. I will have to take out the 3,5" frame and cut into the bottom 5,25 " bay to have space for a 240 mm radiator in the front.

Since i want more then just a 240mm radiator i will be adding atleast 1 more 120mm radiator in back of the case. Maybe someone has already experimented with sandwitching 120mm radiators. I found a nice test online somewhere about sandwitching radiators, but the guy who performed the tests never tested 3 fans with 2 radiators. Has anyone ever tried this with radiators?

Also i will have to make a custom ssd bay, so i can cool of my ssd a little with the radiators airflow. I also attached my ssd bay layout (ssd.png). as u can see i still need to take the exact measures.

But im already using my pc with the boxed cooler. It would really help if someone could give me the right measures for the distance between screw holes.

I have posted on other forums and was told to use AIO Coolers. I took a close look at every single AIO Cooler, and i dont like them. the only one i thought about twice was the switftech 220 /H200.

Greetings from Germany

Why not use an AIO cooler instead of going through the trouble just to cool your CPU with a full custom loop?!
