LOW FPS ON GTA

Ok I just got a couple titan x from my tax return :) but i dont see an improvment over my 270x. Why do i only get 35fps on high on 1080? i cant even play on 4k like i wanted. shoud i return them? i turned off overclock and it stiil happens

What's the rest of your system look like? Is it the 9590?

The projects never end in my line of work.

CPU is a bottleneck.

At 4k you should be GPU bound though, so maybe a driver issue?

AMD 9590 bottlenecking the Titan Xes? not suprised if it is.

1. Did you uninstall the old drivers from your 270x and install the new drivers from the titan x?

2. What are the rest of your system's specs?

3. What settings are you trying to run the game at?

yes latest driver on lowest settings on 4k i get 15 fps

when i put it all on lowest i get 55-65frams on 1080 resulution

Yeah, looking at the numbers... it seems that CPU is going to slow you down a lot. Here is a bench I found with that: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/4392018

 

I'm getting over 16k w/o bottleneck for one card.

 

Although synthetic isn't necessarily the best way to tell, that says a lot.

You probably have a terrible bottleneck. What's CPU usage? Get that from MSI Afterburner, not task manager.

Save up and buy a Z97 motherboard and an i5 4690k/i7 4790k. Both are vastly superior to an FX 9590, use less power even when overclocked, and won't bottleneck your Titan's (the i5 might bottleneck, might).

is a bottleneck even for a GTX 970 :o. The bottle neck is real with 2 titan X

i use asus gup tweak and cpu usage is 100 and titan use at 20-40

Yea, the FX processors are fairly weak.  They start to bottleneck around the GTX770/R9280X level, even worse depending on the game.

There's your issue. Get a 4790K or 4690K.

If I were you I'd sell one of the Titans and get a new CPU/Mobo. Your current CPU will obviously bottleneck 2 Titans.

That won't make much of a difference if any, they are really weak as they aren't even true 8 cores.

Nope, AMD is way too weak at the moment. If you really want an AMD CPU you'll have to wait 'till 2016 for one that won't bottleneck.

No intel is 9999999999999999999999999 times better than AMD. If you're going with 2 titan X, PLEASE don't get any AMD CPUs as of right now.

You buy a CPU based on its brand not its performance? Well I'm leaving this thread with this message in caps-I've had enough ignorance for 1 day: ALL AMD CPU/APU BOTTLENECK HIGH END GPU'S WHETHER ITS SINGLE OR SLI/CROSSFIRE CONFIGURATIONS.
