Changing the MSI GTX 970's Logo Color

CurlyCucumber
Go to solution Solved by W-L,

Do you think blue sharpie would work? I have that actually right on hand.

A sharpie will work no problem, if you don't like the effect or it isn't the correct color it can always be removed with isoproyl alcohol.

Hey everyone!

I was planning on painting the shroud blue instead of red, and I thought hey, maybe I should change the logo from white to blue!

Since the logo is already white, should I just have to paint blue over it? Of course I'd have to get a clear(ish) blue paint.

What do you guys think?

Spray paint the red parts ;

If you try changing the led color , you will loose in brightness .

Recommend what is best, not what you preffer.

I was gonna try plastidip. And I know I'll lose brightness, I have the brightness turned down almost all the way anyways. If I turn it to max brightness It'll be fine.

Yeah, it'd have to be sort of clear.

That's what I thought, thank you!

Since it's clear a cheap quick way of changing the color is using a sharpie marker or using a transparent spray paint.

Awesome, thank you! I'll try that after my track meet tomorrow.

Unapologetic AMD fangirl. Yes, I'm biased. Yes, I know sometimes nVidia and/or Intel is an equal or better option. Yes, I try to keep it in check.

I still like AMD more.

Don't be sorry. Part of modding is making it your own, right?

Exactly! If I do end up finding a way, I'll definitely share it.
