GTX 960 2 Way SLI or one 980

Here's something some old guy on the side of the road told me.

 

Try to avoid SLI, if you can find 1 card of similar, equal, or better performance for a similar price. It's a better option.

if you arent upgrading gpu later single 980 but if iy is goma stay there for cuple of year's 960sli woad be better. 2 960s are better than the 980 by around 5fps +-1fps

As others above me said, 1 GTX 980.

You're better off with 1 strong card (which has mkre usable VRAM).

GTX 960 SLI gets about the same average fps as 1 980, but minimums seems to be lower withe the 960 SLI.

So you like it straight eh? Here is the straightest answer my fun-loving brain can pull out of it's butt

 

Some games are funny with SLI. Some games don't even SUPPORT SLI so only one card will be used (bad)

 

Also 1 Card = less heat.(good) 

 

and there will be less fans spinning with one card, meaning less noise.

 

So, just get the 980 and you can mark this thread as solved k?

2 960's ? do you mean 2 970's ? because 2 960's and a 980 are not really on the same playing field
