Game volume in Skype call

thebeans0682

I'm having a problem were my friend can clearly hear my game volume while we are in a skype call.  I've been looking around in the options and can't figure out how to disable this.

That's not a Skype feature, your microphone is picking up your system audio is the problem.

I found that my friends get this when I've had my boost on on the mic under sound settings.

Took me a while to figure it out.

Yes I'm using headphones.  Siberia V2.  I've looked in the skype and windows settings and cant figure it out.  Mic boost didnt seem to solve anything.  Speakers are off only audio is in my headset, volume doesn't seem to matter he can hear it no matter what level its at.

I should also say that this somehow fixed itself at one point or another or I did randomly not knowing, but its back again so I know I can fix it somehow.

Go into your Recording Devices (Right click the volume button in the task bar) and right click and disable stereo mix.

Could be crosstalk if you're using two audio ports right next to each other on a lower quality case/motherboard/sound card/headset. I had the same problem and fixed it by plugging it in somewhere else on my computer
