Quietest fans/Best setup?/Kraken g10 related question.

oogawooga

Hi I have a m925 rogue http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2851012, which has 2 fans pulling air inside, 1 fan on top exhausting and 1 in the back also exhausting, is this the proper setup? should i also add a side fan? Also what are the quietest fans that are at the same time efficient for cooling radiators(using with kraken g10) and cpus?

P.S side note: im running heaven benchmark with my pcs+ r9 290 combined with corsair h55 and im hitting up to 70 on core and like 60 on vrms. Ive watched videos where cores stay constantly at 40. am i doing this wrong?

Get Noctua NF-Fxx fans for the CPU/GPU coolers and NF-Axx fans for the case. Get a side fan if you don't mind the looks. They're the quietest and best-performing.

The 290/X can get pretty hot. Did you overclock it? The GPUs in the videos could be at stock speed. Then again you could just have a bad chip.

My build: tis be ordered

About the fans on your case, it should be fine. I usually like having slightly more aiflow into the case than out, leading to positive air pressure, but having an equal amount of fans pulling in and out is also fine.

Since i have only used the fans included in my case, and some noctua nf f12's, I dont have an extensive knowledge on fans, and so im not really sure which are both good and quite at the same time.

I also used the kraken g10 on my 2 760;s in the past, and i reached the high 50C, even though the 760's were a lot lower powered than your cards. I think its mainly due to the fact that the h55 isnt that good, as the radiator would get too warm to the touch, so it was just a problem of getting the heat out of the water.

how loud are these at like 1500rpm? im very picky about noise, and yes everything is stock.

Not overly, but im a bit of a silence freak, so they never really go above 900 rpm
