Gaming and Editing M-ITX Build

niofalpha

So I was planning on selling my current build, to get a smaller form factor PC that can still play games great, and is good at editing videos in the Adobe Suite.

US, no where near a Microcenter budget is 1000$ (Will go to 1100 if necessary) USD, no monitors, peripherals, or OS needed :).

I was curious if I could get away with a cheaper PSU that's still reliable, 80+ Gold, and Semi Modular +.

I also need a recommendation for a case. I like the Corsair 380T allot! But it's expensive.

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

Do you care about case looks being "edgy"? I think some of Corsair's cases are overpriced compared to other offerings, like Fractal, Phanteks or even Bitfenix; the 380t being no exception to this.

Do you have a brand preference for PSU's? Seasonic has some good 80+ Gold Modular PSU's.

As for cases, id'e prefer it to just look nice, and have great build quality. I was looking into a few Bitfenix cases before.

As for PSU's I prefer corsair, but I really don't mind.

But what do you mean by "look nice"? It's subjective for the most part. Is the 380t's aesthetic something you want, or do you want something more minimal like a Fractal Node?

I'd personally try to get a Seasonic PSU, since I've used a couple of them in builds before and can attest to them.

By "Looks Nice" I mean clean, and curvy. I was looking at the BitFenix prodigy, and I like that one. Bit too expensive tho, trying to stick to sub 50$ for the case.

The node is just too plain IMO.

Don't most Corsair PSU's use Seasonic OEM's? Because the CS550M (Good score on Johnyguru) Looks to be an appealing PSU for the price, and the cheapest Seasonic PSU that meets my requirements is higher priced than this by at least 20$

XFX PSUs are made by seasonic and can be found cheaper than the CS 550M :) There's a 550W bronze unit on pcpartpicker for a bargain atm

Not many corsair PSUs use seasonic anymore, only the AX non-i
