First PC build, any suggestions?

Hi forum. 

 

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to building computers. This is my first pc build and I just wanted to talk to the experts and see if my build is any good. I'm not going to be doing any over-clocking out of the box, but maybe in future. I will be adding a 1tb Western Digital in the near furture.

 

The specs:

 

CPU: AMD FX 6300 (with stock cooler).

 

Motherboard: MSI 970a-g43

 

Memory: Kingston fury black series 8gb (2x4) DDR3 1600mhz

 

SSD: Kingston ssd 120gb

 

Graphics: Gigabyte R9 280 OC 3gb

 

Case: Corsair SPEC-01

 

PSU: Corsair cx 500

 

OS: Windows 8.1

 

Wifi: TP-link Wifi adapter

(looks alright, i'd swap out for the 8320 if you must have an FX chip but otherwise looks good. (i'd personally look for a second hand i5 somehwere, )

why does everyone come in with a fx 6300

should be on a i3 4150 or something
