Need help slowing down internet for a user

Hello,

Greetings,

I have a user on my network that just EATS my fup.What I would like to do is either slow down the internet for the user significantly or put a data usage limit.I have an extremely old beetel 450BXI router,is it even possible for me to do so?

What kind of environment are you in? Is this at home where mum and dad pay the bill and you'd like to prioritise yourself above everyone else?

 

Judging by the hardware, I think so. Probably doesn't have those features. Spend money on a better plan from your ISP or better hardware...

You could probably install something on their PC do to that for you, or else you should just get a better router.

well which router should I get? Any reccomendation? Btw it has to be a dsl (AKA phone jack) router.

almost any good quality ASUS router..I would suggest the AC56U for the cheapest one
