I left steam overnight so I can sleep. The morning I woke up, GTA V is already installed. No hassle. Even the registration in RSC was pretty fast. The port is so fucking good it runs so smooth on my system on maxed settings, MSAA(4x)

bought retail, installed from 7-dvds (used my Blu-ray drive...), downloaded 5gb patch, game works perfectly!

only issue is that I neeeded to start the story before I could run the benchmarking utility properly. otherwise it starts the prologue AND the benchmark at the same time...

Damn this download though :/

Started installing last night at around 6:30 pm local time and ended up being done at roughtly 8:30 (partly because I forgot to press 'ok' after I entered CD 2 for like 15 minutes). But then that 5 gig patch download. Oh my god that is freaking slow. It was downloading at roughly 13KB/s and it would just outright lose connection so often. So I let it do its thing during the night and just checking up on it, it still only downloaded 2 out of the 5 gigs?! And it estimates another 14 bloody hours remaining  :o

That being said it's downloading at roughly 800-900 KB/s now so it's something. But it could still be higher...I mean it's not like I have slow internet...at all (200/20)

Yep, 2GB just isn't enough anymore :/

It is enough for "normal" textures.  I run nearly everything on max with 2x MSAA and long shadows but have to keep it on normal textures otherwise I won't hold 55fps + on my GTX690.  This may be because the SLI optimization is stellar too.  With an i5 4570, 16Gb of RAM and the 690, this game runs like a champ.

Welp, It's done :D Suddenly the download started kicking in and it ended up taking 2 hours for the 5 gig patch, but after that the 353.64mb patch was a bitch. First time round (well over an hour, nearly hour and a half) it crapped out on met at 353.24mb / 353.64mb and it had to start downloading all over again (rage like Justin Bieber is personally telling me he loves me).

But now it's finished. Can't wait to get home. Anyone here tried tripple screen 1080 (5760x1080)?
