Does Crossfire+Eyefinity still have noticeable issues?

I'm building with the intent of starting out with one graphics card and one monitor.

Did AMD ever fix the driver issues when it came to using Eyefinity with Crossfire? I know a lot of users had issues with stuttering and frame loss. Is this still an issue?

One person's post claimed they had better performance using their crossfire eyefinity set up with an AMD processor as opposed to an Intel one. Anyone here have experience with that?

Unapologetic AMD fangirl. Yes, I'm biased. Yes, I know sometimes nVidia and/or Intel is an equal or better option. Yes, I try to keep it in check.

I still like AMD more.
