Trust Zowie, they are easily one the best manufactures, just not that well known.

If all else fails, Logitech G502.

What do they know of England, who only England know?

I use one of these...

http://gaming.logitech.com/en-gb/product/g502-proteus-core-tunable-gaming-mouse

It's a little heavy and they come with weights to make them heavier but to be honest I find it heavy enough. It's supposedly been designed to function best with the official Logitech mouse-mat but to be honest I've found it to be a lot smoother on just a generic computer superstore mouse-pad.

The G402 is a much better mouse than the others offered in this thread. The G502 is even better.

The Zowie doesn't use the same sensor as the G502. The Zowie FK1 uses the Avago 3310. The G502 uses the best sensor on the market currently - PMW3366

The Taipan isn't even close. Having buttons on both sides of the mouse causes grip issues.

If you like the feel of the Taipan (amidextrous) then check out the original Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical. Not even kidding - this is a great mouse. Has no side buttons though. If you must have side buttons then look into the Zowie FK1.

Both Zowie and Roccat are very well-known, and are renowned for their mice.
