[PS3] no sould when playing games

Ramonman

hello,

is its been a few good weeks since i got my PC, and i wanted to get my PS3 out of the dust to replay some GTA V. so i connected my PS3 to my monitor with HDMI and i had no problem there. i could hear the "clicky" sound when moving at the PS3 home screen. but when i start anny game at all, the sound is gone? and i have no idea why?

i use the speakers of my monitor to get the sould but i don't understand why i am not getting anny sound in games, when i DO gete sound at the ps3 home screen.

Have you tried another game?

And very weird you still have sound on the menu.. Try going to Settings > I think Sound Settings.. And just see if HDMI is chosen and not SCART/Optical Audio

EDIT: check GTA V's settings too, make sure Master Volume is not zero.
