R9 270x VS R9 280

Looking for a GPU. I saw an MSI R9 270x HAWK for $154 and a Sapphire R9 280 for $165. The 270x has a higher clock speed than the 280 and is cheaper, but the 280 has 3gb of VRAM. Which is the better deal?

The 280 is the better deal, the extra gig of vram will probably come in handy when running things at resolutions higher than 1080p.

280 > 275x anyday if price gap not >$40.
