planning some mods with plasti dip and need advice

Midnitewarrior4

so i seen someone paint their asus strix 980 white with plasti dip and ive been thinking of painting mine red for a while now since i have a red/black h440. my first question is how hard is it to take it off later if i dont want it that color anymore or if i have to rma ?

second qustion is, is there anything i have to do before i paint the card ? besides taking off the cooler shroud which doesnt lok too hard ( 8 or soo little screws on the sides)

and third and this kinda goes with the first question will this be hard to get off of my card because it has a matt/ textured finish to it and im worried about it sticking to it. thanx in advance for the advice

Plasti dip is pretty easy to remove it's basically like a latex paint that skins over and is very stretchy as long as there is a thick enough coating. As for it being hard to remove since the surface it shouldn't be an issue since it basically sits on the surface of the matte coating, if there is any residual plasti-dip some isopropyl alcohol should take are of everything.

Just a tip for using plasti-dip you can get a variety of finishes on it from a flocked or sandpaper like texture to an orange peel kind of finish, it really depends on the way that the plasti-dip is applied. If you follow their instructions and apply a heavy coat, but very importantly don't allow it to run, it will give you a more or orange peel texture and many many light coats will give that flocked or sandpaper texture.
