If you want even lower priced strips that are single colored go for SMD 3258 strips they are a bit smaller and not as bright though:

EBay or amazon, I'd personally recommend 5050 lights. Rgb isn't that much more, you could do it for sub 15

I bought two of these for my PC, and they are bright as, and none were broken. They are pretty durable too, not to mention their rock bottom prices. And for 5 bucks, its a really great lighting solution.
