At what settings will my pc be able to run gta v?

Eyesthetics

Intel core i5 4690k 4,8Ghz

Gtx 970

8gb 1600mhz ram

The resolution is 1280x1024, can i max out everything and still gain a solid 60 fps? I've read around and seems like this is one demanding game (and an unoptimized one) will this end up like the gta iv?

I would guess 60FPS even at 1080p hopefully.

Impossible to say, the game is not out, and nobody has played it

There is no way of knowing how optimised or unoptimized the game is, because nobody has played it on PC yet

Rockstar have said it is well optimized for PC though -

At that resolution I'm sure it will be fine. But don't get your hopes up.

Surely if they're showing 4k screen shot after 4k screen shot, the game must run well on something, perhaps it's a titan X, perhaps it's 4 titan x's who knows. All I can say is that I hope it runs ok on my crappy 660ti.

I think that if you turn down the details a bit you can manage to get a decent frame rate at 1920X1080.

I would expect a GTX 970 at a mere 1280x1024 to brute-force even the worst optimized games into decent performance. For the sake of your investment, get a better monitor so your video card has to spin up enough to get the dust off once in awhile.

Theoretically YES u can max it out on that resolution whit those specs.

Practically NOBODY HERE KNOWS. Ask Devs.

One would expect a person with overclocked high end rig focused on gaming to have some hardware and its performance knowledge...

It shouldn't be its being ported by the same team that did Max Payne 3 for PC. Which from I heard was a great port, it better be butter smooth since they delayed it multiple times.

I am 99.5% sure that a i5 and 970 will run it MAXED OUT on 1080p, even with mods. The 970 tears apart ANY game in 1080p max settings 60fps , there is absolutely no reason that it wouldn't be the same for gta5, especially after all of the time that rockstar has put into it. If for what ever reason, it does not max it out then I may have to cry myself to sleep.

very unlikely, it has been delayed over a year, and the game was already complete. What would they have been doing for the past year?

I think going by the min and recommended hardware its going to run pretty well, its not going to be anything like Watch_Dogs for example. Rockstar no doubt still feels the sting of the GTAIV optimization backlash i don't think they will do that again.

I have a 4770k+780 i'd be very surprised if you and i wouldn't be able to run full ultra with decent frames.

With an i5 4440, 8GB RAM @ 1333MHz and my GTX 970 I was able to max out Crysis 3 @ 1080p. You should have no problems at all running GTA 5 (though GTA 5 isn't out for PC yet, Crysis 3 still holds true).

So even at 1024x1280 you don't think that it will be maxed out?

That's like 60% the pixels of 1080p

It is completely impossible to not max it out with a 970

I don't mean to be rude, but what are you smoking?

You have a 970 so You will be fine at 1080p with details turned down a bit. What's wrong with this?
