Macbook gaming V2: 30fps plus tour bioshock infinite (PROOF EDITION)

Well, well what do we have here bioshock infinite on a retina macbook pro running at 30 fps or above constant indeed we do cotton, indeed we do

note:

As for settings texture detail and quality are at ultra. All other settings are running at minimum or off.It sucks but the fps gods demanded sacrifices

Anyway, I think you will find that your eyes quite like what they see.

it should be noted this running at 720p as opposed to native resolution as the fps gods requested.

Here lie proof

WHat MacBook? How expensive? Etc.

Where is the proof?

And also, my PC can run Bioshock Infinite 30+ fps on 720p medium stuff.

Why does no one talk about the fact that the thunderbolt 2 macbook pros can have an eGPU that loops back into the notebook's screen with almost no bandwidth loss? That's fucking amazing.
This slideshow shoes nothing and is borderline spam.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Lol, if you buy a macbook for gaming, you're an idiot, and a stupid idiot at that. That's not what they're for, even if you grab a macbook that has a dedicated GPU, it's still a weak-ass laptop.

If you're getting a gaming laptop, get a gigabyte laptop or an Asus laptop. Run the other way screaming from Apple. Yes, it's possible to run Bioshock infinite at 30fps on that laptop, but only with literally everything turned to the absolute lowest settings. And at 30fps? that's one of the worst gaming experiences I can think of. Like, we're in Raspberry Pi territory here.

Macbooks are not for gaming. They will never be for gaming. Even if Apple made a gaming laptop it would not be worth the exorbitant price they'd charge for the machine. If you really want a Macbook Pro that can game at high settings at high res, get a Razer Blade, because... well, I mean, it's almost identical.

1. Reocrd a video

2. If the xbox 360 and ps3 could do infinite, so can your damn macbook. My 2011 laptop can almost max it out at 60 fps. Sure the newer MBP 15 inch versions with the discrete GPus could do well too. And they can use an eGPU, though the ones with discrete cards cant loop back into the screen I think.

okay. but be warned of one thing and one thing only, My network is fairly slow so this could be a while to upload.

Also they couldn't do infinite like I can.

First of all, excuses, and excuses you could have left out, too.

Second of all, yes they can, and they do. Quite a lot, actually.

Bioshock infinite is not that hard to run

for 1700$ you can get a 5 pound 15 inch clevo with a 4k screen and a 980m. That's a smaller (not ultra thin) but balanced laptop for gaming-not ultra thin and super expensive and hot, but not heavy and unwieldy. Macbooks are not for gaming. They are very solid and great to use computers for people with too much money.

I'm not too sure I understand what peoples problems are,  are people upset that someone has a macbook that can play a game or are they upset because someone wants to talk about it?

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

Its because its Apple so they immediately have to attack the owner

It think its great that the OP has a nice macbook they enjoy that also lets them play a few games

old games, yah. I mean as long as intel integrated gpus get better over time, there will be a day where most laptops, even without dedicated gpus, will game reasonably. I hope that day comes. I used to game on a dual core laptop with an nvs 160m. Fuck yea CS and cod2..and all of those little indie games...except minecraft. Too much.
