HD Graphics 4600

FruitBasketSilex
Go to solution Solved by Comessy,

So its really fluctuating...

I get 60+ on a superflat med settings and anywhere from 5-40 on a normal world

I'd say the average was maybe 20-25?

All settings are med-high

This modpack has over 100 mods, so thats alot for the poor i5 :(

Can anyone with a pretty decent/good haswell CPU tell me how well the HD Graphics 4600 performs inside of MODDED Minecraft. Its important for it to be 100+

I will have my PC up and running soon, but with no GPU yet, and I would like to know if I may continue my reign of terror inside of The Direwolf20 Pack. (Long story, many destroyed maps, many server crashes. I'm no longer allowed near anything explosive. But that's another story, for another time)

I will be going with a 4790k if anyone cares. I'd also like to know if the mods affect the CPU more or the GPU. I think it may be CPU.

Buy a cheap GPU, Intel Graphics aren't for gaming, they weren't built for it.

MineCraft gets 30-40Fps without mods on my 4790k.

Mods are completely CPU intensive, barely do anything to GPU (except shaders)

With integrated graphics expect less than 30fps on low settings.

Just buy something like a i5 4690k and a R7 260x. Or if you already have the CPU, get a R7 240.

What settings?

(I know Intel is not for gaming, I'm not an idiot) I'm simply looking for an alternative as I would like to get some stuff built before I get a GPU, I'd like to have a way to spend my time. 40fps is fine for a while.

Would you mind running my test?

If that was an option, why not just start there? lol, go with that.

To clarify:

I am looking for someone with a 4790k to run the test for me, and give me the results. I Dont want/need speculation. I want hard facts. Not too difficult to disable your dGPU and run Nodded MC for a few minutes.

Well I get around 25-80fps on low settings with render distance short with optifine with no mods on Intel HD graphics 2000 and the 4600 is what 3-4 time more powerful

The 30-40 Fps I was getting was with reasonably low settings, although I cannot remember if I was playing at 1440p.  I'm sure you can play, although you may have some serious frame dips.

Do you only play MC, if so an i3 with an r7 260(x) would be appropriate.

Ffs. I am not looking for budget suggestions. I know what I'm doing. I play more than MC, much more. I just love it. I like expressing my creativity and ingenuity inside a virtual world populated by oversized pixels.

Someone run the test and give me facts. Preferably a 4790k but I suppose a 4690k running the same test would produce similar enough results, as mc doesn't use many cores.

Alright I did it

My 4590 is close enough to a 4690k

I got 30-40 FPS on medium-high, did not expect that

No mods, just normal 1.7.10 MC

Thank you good sir. If you love me, you would download the ftb launcher and run Direwolf20 for meh, because you love meh.

Why did I get moved to graphics cards?

On-die graphics isn't technically a chip.

Thusly, its a CPU question.

The question is even related to CPU power.
