Netgear N600 router to AP in another room

Go to solution Solved by seroth77,

I found another solution.  I have some powerline boxes in the house.  I am going to try to see if I can run it that way.  I hope I don't overload anything.  Wish me luck.

 Working like a champ.  I AP'd the router in the bedroom and it's running smooth.

Hey guys, I have a Netgear N600 router that I want to use as a AP.  The trick is I need it to be in another room than the router.  I want to plug my smart TV into it and have the wireless signal connect to the wireless router that I have.  Is there a way to accomplish this?  The route is an AT&T Uverse router with a wireless AP attached.

So, to summarize:

(TV room)                                  (wireless signal)                            (Bedroom)

Router->Router AP..........................................................................Netgear AP->Smart TV

The Smart TV is not wireless hence why I need the AP in the room.

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't sound like a very smart TV, does it?

I'd personally prefer to run a cable, but you can check if the N600 can run as a repeater using WDS. That should give you full functionality in the second room.
