How do I get past the BIOS 128GB HDD limit?

I'm looking at maxing out my ULR's storage capacity, however I've discovered that its BIOS is unable to accept HDD over 128GB, even though it is the latest version. Will I be able to manually setup the HDD within the BIOS so I can use decent sized HDD? Or is there anything else I could do as my only sub 128 GB option that I can buy new (and have shipped to Australia) is a WD800BB, which I've personally had bad experiences with in regards to reliability (I've got one that died after less than 3 years use in a draw next to me for starters), and I really don't want to skimp on storage space as I'm going to set it up as a full media center/NAS/HD TV streamer. The motherboard I'm having this problem with is my Abit VP6, and as mentioned before its got the latest BIOS update.

Edit: I could probably buy several SATA to IDE adapters, but the capacity limit would still be a problem.

The problem with that is all of the PCI slots are filled with the necessary expansion cards.
