Is 650w enough for 970 SLI and 4790k?

Is an EVGA superNOVA 650w enough for this build or will I need more?: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/zerolessmusic/saved/4MbxFT

I don't know, I think you might be stretching it a bit. Might want an upgrade to 725 watt

It will be tight, but you should be OK.  Most people go with at least 750 watts for SLI.  Keep in mind that over time the PSU efficiency and max power output does drop off.  If your PSU runs at 90% under load, after 3 to 5 years it might not be able to supply the needed power.

If my 750w power supply was capable of powering my previous graphics cards (780 SLI) with a 4670K @ 4.5, then you should be ok.

For 970, it's ok. 2 970 with an i7 took around 500W, so 650W already have enough headroom for your system.
