Only upgrade if your PC starts lacking the ability to do what you need it to do. If it's still running fine then don't bother upgrading.

I think this is the best advice anyone could give, 100% agree.

Don't fix what ain't broken.

Well, an SSD would make the PC overall more responsive.

A better CPU (Intel) would give you much better framerates in games, though that would require a new motherboard as well.

A better PSU is getting a bit picky because you generally don't upgrade your PSU in a situation like yours, though having a Seasonic M12 Bronze 620W wouldn't hurt anybody.

Just my two cents.

I would have to completely disagree, your current CPU is going to be just fine for any modern titles. There is going to be no real benefit in games from "upgrading" to intel at that same performance point, unless you wanted to get an i7 or something. But that's an expensive upgrade if you don't really need it.

For the best upgrade in terms FPS boost, the GPU is what you need to put money into, but everything depends on how much you are looking to spend.

The advice about considering an SSD is a good idea though, it wont get you any more frames per second, but it's definitely worth it!

Well, per-core performance is going to be significantly higher on an i5. So there would be a fair bit of difference.
