And we are all buying this expensive kit to keep them in the 50 s and 60 s ?

You just watched Slick's video on cooling is it worth it on vessel eh?

Well the reason we the Enthusiasts Extraordinaires are so hung up on cooling is due to the fact that we want to get unheard of performance while keeping cool and what the guy below me says.

It makes your CPU and GPU last longer.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

Someone needs to put a high spec rig through it's paces to test the how much does cooling matter ?

Run a high spec game rig with only the cpu fan running   , see how long it lasts  ?

Bet it's longer than the upgrade cycle even with after market Gpu

I'm not doing expensive cooling because of temps. I do it because of noise. Then again, I'm not comfortable running my expensive stuff at high temps constantly. I mean Intel has Haswell/Devils Canyon safe rated at, what, 75C. I want my CPU to be still value for money after 5 years under mild/medium OC.
