Need monitor suggestions ($400 budget)

Villain

So I have $300-400 that I want to spend on a new monitor and it's actually a harder decision than I thought. I want to stay at 1080p and get a 120-144hz monitor, and am also on the fence of whether or not g-sync would be worth paying a premium.

Here are my specs:

Gtx 780

i5-3570k

8GB RAM

I plan on getting Witcher 3 and GTA 5 when they come out, and will likely be below 60fps for both of those at max (unless gta 5 is a good port), which is why I thought g-sync could be beneficial. I'm not entirely sure how g-sync works, but from what I've read it's designed to be like v-sync without input delay, and appears to also help reduce the stutter from fps fluctuations.

If I wouldnt have had a tigerdirect 200$ discount and bought the XL2720Z I would've definitely went with the Asus VG248QE.
