2 R9 395x2 or 4 GTX 980 Ti's?

Just wondering what anyone would think is a better deal, with the rumored prices for the 980 ti buying 4 would save about $200 but not sure if 4 way sli would be better than 2 way crossfire with dual GPU cards.

4 way SLI would be better on benchmarks like Firestrike. In gaming I'd take 2 980 over 4.

1st off, /)

2nd off, We only have speculation at this point, but after 2 cards in sli, the performance increase goes down significantly

Besides the fact no one knows the specs, prices and benchmarks of either you aren't comparing 4 way SLI to 2 way crossfire. You're comparing 4 way SLI to 4 way crossfire. Just because 2 cards are on one PCB doesn't mean that they aren't in crossfire. Same rules apply. If there aren't any multi gpu profiles for the game half of a dual gpu card sits idle. Anything past 2 way SLI / Crossfire has minimal gains or support.

I'd agree but supposedly Directx 12 is going to be better with multi gpu configs

All of them, and don't forget to sprinkle them with pixie dust for all of the fps, and remember to lubricate with unicorn blood every other full moon.

Even if there is a 15% boost, Diminishing returns is still a thing

You don't have to be sarcastic it was a serious question from someone who just wants other people's opinions on something

This kind of posts are getting out of hand, people just assuming "what'd be better..." on cards aren't out yet, with romoured prices  and romoured specs, C'MON!

These products are only rumoured even to exist, yet you're asking us for not only details on how they perform but on how good a deal each is. I'm going to be as sarcastic as I like when faced with a proposal as absurd as this.

Even though four GPu's is never worth it as after Dual sli configurations its not really worth it, but go with 4 way 980ti's as I cant imagine the type of cooling 2 395x2's might take but there both not out yet so the jury is still out on that one for now

CPU: FX8350  GPU:  Sapphire radeon r9 290x Tri-X  Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-UD3P  RAM:  Corsair Vengence 1866mhz 8GB  PSU: Corsair CX750M

Hardline most likely but the entire build is still in the planning stages, I'm aiming to assemble it by the end of the year.

These two cards don't exist.. Highly doubt Nvidia will make a 980TI, and AMD hasn't even confirmed anything for next gen gpus.

These future speculations threads are just pointless. We don't know what we don't know.

Intel 4790 K - R9 295X2 - Gigabyte Z97-SLI - Corsair Vengeance Pro Black 1866 CAL9 - Corsair HX 1000 -Samsung 850 EVO SSD - Samsung HDD - H100I - Corsair C70 - G400 Logitech - Asus VS247H - WASD custom mechanical and QCKPAD!

Staples of LTT: Getting an 4690 K will resurrect your lost family members, AMD = More heat thus AMD = Satan.

I am still gonna say the 980ti will not be made no matter whatever speculations say.

The 980 is already unlocked. Ti versions lately, correct me if I am wrong, are unlocked versions of their card...

Lets all ripperoni in pepperoni
