Can I Support one 1080p monitor and one 1440p monitor?

So recently, I purchased and customized a Gaming/ Workstation rig. It is mostly for photoshop and premiere pro cc and adobe programs in general and some gaming like Minecraft and Garry Mod and such. Here are my specs its:

CPU: Intel i7 4790K
Motherboard: ASRock Pro 3
CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i
Ram: 32gb of corsair vengeance 1866mhz
GPU: Nvidia GTX 980
and I think that should be good for specs, the rest doesn't really affect performance (LED and decorations)

I run a ViewSonic 1080p monitor (21 inches) and It runs very smooth, the only problems is that Its very small for a monitor (in my opinion) and I would like to purchase a ASUS PB278Q which runs at 1440p and its a 27 inch monitor for more workspace. And since I'm a graphics designer and video editor, I need a lot of it and not just 21 inches. I would like to know if I can run like Premiere Pro CC (on 1440p Monitor) and Photoshop CC (on 1080p monitor) and run smooth and no monitor lag and my Gpu will run low on temps. Thank you for everyone helps that help me answer to this post!

Of course you can! That 980 might be too much for just those resolutions if anything.

As long as you dont game on both at the same time.

Even then it should work fine

@ Yes but you cant run NVSurround on it for games. Programs will work just fine. I have my computer also hooked up to my TV and I can multitask if i really wanted to (1080p TV vs 1440p Monitor)

Hope this helps :D

Thank you man! So I won't experience any sort of GPU performance problems or just not giving everything it has like full performance

I'm not planning to game on dual monitors like surround it wouldn't look good also but so it would perform very well ?

Runner other displays won't cause lag. (at least with ALL mid range gpu's) And you have a gtx 980 with is an awesome card!! So having another display to it won't change anything.

So if you don't lag in what you do now and don't use two editing things at once then you should be fine. It will go slower if you try to use the editing software that you use at the same time but I wouldn't think it would be noticeable
