It's sad that this is what it comes to... parents exercise discretion and have to worry about having their kids taken away? For a video game? And the article that says "glamorizes violence against women" regarding GTA... it glamorizes all violence if anything. But I personally love driving around in that game running from the cops. Guess my kids are getting taken away.

I don't think police will bother but I do agree that way too many young kids (<12 year olds) play violent games

I sort of agree that parents in general should pay closer attention to what their children do in their free time. Some kids simply shouldn't be allowed to play violent VGs below a certain age. However not everyone's the same, and it should be the parent's job to asses whether his son/daughter should or shouldn't play a violent game, not the teacher's. The rating is there, there's no need for an external intervention. Besides I'm pretty sure this would be privacy infringement... what a kid does at home is none of the teacher's business.

Well yeah banning porn would be no good,since it could increase rape's and desperate people leading to rape.Politicians are all going to hell or whatever you belive in for sure.Too much bad karma,just too much.

But why? If anything, teach them that (some of the games... CoD is not very realistic) war is dangerous, and that this is what happens. Use it to teach them that real war is brutal and sad. But violent games don't make violent people, regardless of what people say.
