Should I wait for Intel Skylake (i5 unlocked) or Samsung 850 Evo 256GB now ?

The Samsung 850 Evo 256GB is currently around £85 on Amazon at the moment and keeps dropping every now and then. My current system has 2x 1TB Western Digital Blue drives with the boot being nearly full (100GB left). My boot times are pretty slow and makes the overall system slower. I was planning to save my money up for the new Intel processors, Skylake, coming out this summer. I was planning on buying the unlocked i5 and overclocking it. I don't have the money for an i5 now but will closer the time of the launch. My current system has an AMD Athlon X4 750K over clocked to 4.1GHz. This is paired with a Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming which I want to overclock to 1500MHz soon. Which option should I pick? I'm not 100% sure if my processor is a bottleneck for my GPU? Thanks

One will give you a more instant benefit, I'd imagine you could probably wait a while and save up for the Skylake i5 by the time it comes round. 750K @ 4.1GHz and GTX960 isn't really a bottleneck as 960 is really not that fast.

Here's my Firestrike score. My GPUs score is much greater than my CPU. I'm still questioning it.

I think an important question for you to ask yourself is this: Would you prefer better gaming performance (in CPU-heavy games), or quicker overall system responsiveness?

I don't think that an 750K will be a huge bottleneck in most games, so you might as well stick with that until you have extra money.

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

It's normal for the physics (CPU) score to be the lower of the two.

I might be able to get Skylake nearer the end of the year if I decide to get the SSD. Recently I haven't played many games due to being busy. I've been using my system more for productivity than gaming.
