Well. guys i need help with this new build i'm planning, will it be able to run Games like Fistful of frags, planetside 2, BeamNG, Unigine etc etc

At Medium - high settings?

i don't see why it couldn't. the 960 is the weakest of the 900 line, but it's still pretty good.

if you use multiple monitors it might not be great.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

i would not get the 144hz monitor for a 960 since it can put games to that fps

IMO skip the water cooling and use that money to get a 970

also dont get waste so much money on a gold or platinum psu, if you really want gold get a corsair cs450m

Bah, cheapest 27"  ASUS GAMING Monitor i Can Find at my Local retailer. why not.

i would just get a 60hz ips monitor from acer (the Acer H236HL)

its more than half as expensive and you get much better color's that that one

Well, if you really want them, i think the internal thermal Paste is worn out on the 3770K.

Short answer is no.  But for single player games, the bigger GPU will have more of an impact on your gaming experience.  The FX and R9 290 will be a better combo but not because of the CPU, despite it.

 

I look at your builds and see you prioritize finished looks over core performance.  Remember you can always add things like keyboards and microphones later.  Focus on your core parts and upgrade/add peripherals later.

 

What is your budget for everything?  Mics, headphones, mouse, keyboard, monitor and all?

This is what you could have.  $400-$500 left over for your extras (CPU cooler/Keyboard/Mouse/Fans).  If your core is anything less, you are probably doing it wrong.  Your budget is very good, it would be a shame to have a mid-range machine.

 

@xTrixieHD You can add a second GTX 970 to this later if you need.  The power supply can handle two.
