450D Front Dust Filter

Lil Greasy
Go to solution Solved by W-L,

I've been contemplating on whether or not to get the Phanteks Enthoo Pro or the 450D. However, I am a bit concerned of the issue with dust build-up within my rig with the 450D since the filter doesn't seem to be fine enough to capture a lot of the dust. So if anyone with a 450D please help me out and tell me if the filter on the front is good enough to keep all the dust out I'd really appreciate it!

it looks more like a mesh netting than a filter type material, I would suggest to replace it or get some better mesh, I know DemiFlex can make custom filter meshes that are very fine, so it does cause some extra restriction though.

You'll never keep out all the dust

I own the 750D and the top filter has holes the diameter of the inners of a normal pencil. Large enough for dust to go trough.

That time I saved Linus' WiFi pass from appearing on YouTube:

Well I know I'll never keep all the dust out. Just wanted to know if it would do a decent enough job.

I would have to agree with this. You're never really going to be able to prevent dust from ever entering your case. It's inevitable man.

Thanks man! I honestly wouldn't want to go the extra mile to just get another filter haha. So I guess I will stick with the Enthoo Pro.
