Still can't write to SD card in android lollipop, NEED HELP!

Android lollipop is supposed to allow you to write file to the SD card. I still can't do that! I'm just trying to write my media files to my removable SD card to save storage space on my onboard storage. Please help!! Thanks!

What Version of Lollipop do you have?

 

What program are u using to copy and past the files to the SD Card?

Phone is a verizon samsung galaxy s5

version i believe is 5.0.1

program is es file explorer

What app are you using? In from kitkat and above 3rd party apps can only write to its own folder on the SD card. If you have root this is fixable.

Android has a built in function for that. To use it, goto settings > storage > transfer data to sd card.

Click it and you can easily transfer photos, videos and music to your external sd card.

I have a galaxy s5 and i use a program called ES file explorer, i copy or even cut files and then just paste them in a folder on my SD Card.
