What will nvidia do with the dx12 amd threat ?

Shotgun

Considering how the 290x compete's with titan on dx12 and the way dx12 leverages performance of amd cards more than nvidia's what will nvidia do ? what kind of tricks can it pull so that it retains its throne.

The benchmarks are misleading by themselves, so we may or may not see that in real-world performance with games.

Link to those results? If you're looking at draw calls per second that isn't an indicator of performance. A 960 OC in a DX12 benchmark can achieve the same number of draw calls as a 980 and their performance is vastly different.

dont trust benchmarks on things that are not out yet, then tend not to be the most accurate.

and even then so what? amd being ontop will push nvidia to release better cards, or lower prices. If you like a company, having them ontop can be the worst thing for you.

That wasn't FPS performance that it was competing with, it was only drawcall performance.  Which won't have any significant impact on anything whatsoever.

They will patch all their cards so they cant play any game.

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

Ryan Shrout said at least 3 times in that video that you can't compare the cards' performance on DX12 based on the results of that benchmark, that was merely to compare API to API, DX11 to DX12 (and Mantle if applicable). Did you even watch the video?

let's just wait for directx 12 to release, devs to build there games with it and then see how everything compares.

a 1.3 19980 for fiesta can do about 130mph on a dynamo....good look doing that in real life on a real road though.

That's a little too much but you know what I mean..Right?

Drawcall performance =/= overall game performance

Their top of the line GPUs 980 and Titan X undoubtedly elude all of AMD's current offerings.

But Nvidia will continue pulling tricks to stay ahead regardless. Most notably with their Gamewrecks program.

Just wait till dem 300 series

5.5GB's of VRAM.

The heck does that have to do with this? Please stop with the old jokes.

instead worrying about this

I'm a bit more skeptical with developer

yes new tech is out, but how many of them will use it?
and if they use it, how will it affect whole users? not everyone have DX 12 capable GPU

Well i know those were draw calls and should'nt be relied on but what if those turn out to be real,Nvidia will surely have heat(290x)on its arse. :P

It has nothing to do with the fps you are gonna get.

If you'd actually watched the video he says a thousand times not to compare draw call speeds between cards because it doenst mean anything.

To be honest it really is too early to tell, drivers still need to mature and we then we also need a dx 12 game/ benchmark (not drawcall related) to see it properly

In the anandtech dx12 preview the gtx 980 was basicly just raping the 290x in star swarm(still not a decent benchmark, but here you can see that the drivers still need to mature really, and we need a dx12 benchmark/game that doesnt rely on drawcalls)

It does better on draw calls, not in overall performance. Mantle even beats DX12 in draw calls, and while it does help performance, it doesn't make the 290X better than a 980, much less the Titan X.

An article published by AMD,

monitored by AMD,

published on the site of AMD,

shows how good their hardware is on a non-existent technology.

I doubt the reality.
