Injustice for Team Redemption: Double Standard by Valve

RazeG3SG1

Remember last year when South East Asia Dota 2 scene was hit by 322 incident? Involving TI4 qualified team Arrow Gaming, MSI GT Evos. They were punished by tournament organizers etc. Arrow Gaming players seek to redeem themselves by forming Team Redemption, the group of 5 young men had a chance in the latest tournament Major All Stars which they sadly failed to be in top.

Also, remember the match fixing incident involving iBuyPower, NetCode Guides, and Epsilon Esports? Best part being Steel completely not remorseful about the incident etc. They were banned for 1 year.

Why am I bringing this up? Because Valve freaking issued a lifetime ban on Team Redemption. The players who are remorseful about their action and tries to be atone their sins. Why on Earth is Team Redemption banned for a lifetime while another Valve title, CSGO, only banned for a year? What kind of a double standard is that? Is it because South East Asia scene is too undeveloped? Or they are mocking player's educational level?

Valve should not just ban the players for a lifetime when they themselves issue a one year ban over the same kind of incident!

"Our chances on another shot at The International was an enigma before, but we've finally received news from Valve themselves. It is with a heavy heart to inform that Team Redemption - or in this case, the players consisting of DDz, XiangZaii, MoZun, MtR and Lance will not be participating in any future events hosted by Valve. This message was received directly from Valve, which essentially means that we will not be participating in The International.

Upon hearing this news, I've had a chat with the players to discuss our future. Despite the initial shock and disappointment, they've steadied themselves and told me that they will continue playing, as their passion for the game cannot be measured. This reply humbled but assured me that the boys have matured, even by a small extent. Therefore, Team Redemption will continue fighting as before. Potential sponsors will of course be notified of our status, as we seek to be transparent in our dealings. Thank you once again for supporting us. #trfighting"
