Upgrade from AMD to Intel (Need help)

I will be upgrading my system soon from a FX-8350 to a Intel CPU and Motherboard and will be getting another 670 in SLI. My budget isn't that high just around £150-200 for both the CPU and Motherboard (Such as the i5 2500k), if you know any good Intel CPU bundles I can get or seperate mobos which are also good for over-clocking. Leave your opinions thanks.

I would highly recommend saving up about  £100 more that way you can get a more powerful CPU such as the i5 4690K, then a z97 mobo such as the MSI Z97-G55 SLI or similar.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

so he will be paying £100 more for 0.3% diff ???? really he could overclock the 2500k and get more results

I'm guessing that's why you were asking about random xeons and stuff. My guess is that's probably what you are gonna have to do is look around for some good used stuff.

At a £150-200 budget, you won't be getting an unlocked processor.

Look for a cheap H81 board, and a 4460.

Yeah, that is really great. The 2500k is a total tank.

If the board is still under warranty, then yeah that's good. Haswell is 20% faster than Sandy Bridge though, so unless you're gonna run it at minimum ~4.5GHz, you would be better off with even a locked CPU. Perhaps get a Z97 board for now and just start with a higher end i3 and upgrade to a 4690K or 4790K later.

You can also look for a used 4670K/4690K if you really want.

So you could do something like this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/W8BjBm

and then upgrade to i5-4690K or i7-4790K later, or you could get that motherboard and then get a used i5 Haswell like:

Intel i5-4690K @ 3.8GHz || Gigabyte Z97X-SLI || 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600MHz || Asus GTX 760 2GB @ 1150 / 6400 || 128GB A-Data SX900 + 1TB Toshiba 7200RPM || Corsair RM650 || Fractal 3500W
