Well Asus announced two new monitors.  A new ROG Swift 4k IPS Gsync 60hz, and a 1440p IPS 120hz (not sure if that one has Gsync).  They are not released yet.

No there are three in total this year, that use the new IPS variant called AHVA (nothing to do with VA) that is basically IPS with TN pixel response times, capable of strobing and 144hz. The xb270hu has lower input lag than the rog swift even. Hopefully thats the case with the rest of these also.

Acer XB270HU (GSYNC, 27", 144Hz, 1440p, IPS)

Acer XR341CK (GSYNC, 34" Ultrawide, 144Hz, 3440x1440, IPS)

ASUS MG279Q (Adaptive Sync -unbranded FreeSync-, 27", 120Hz, 1440p, IPS)

oh ye, and that 4k 60hz IPS gsync from asus

The only other one slated for release is the ASUS PG27AQ, it's a 4K 60Hz IPS G-SYNC monitor.

ASUS is also coming out with the MG279Q, but it's a FreeSync monitor not G-SYNC. It's basically the same specs as the XB270HU otherwise.

1 thing - Do NOT use the overdrive extreme on XB270HU! It does bring the respose time down to 2ms, but it introduces blur. OD on Normal is best at 5.5ms.

response time, plz

The response time you talk about is PIXEL response time  and has to do with ghosting.

According to the tft review http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/acer_xb270hu.htm

Ghsoting on the xb270hu is the same as the rog swift... maybe a tiny bit worse, but youll never tell the difference anyway.

INPUT LAG is the spec what you THINK response time means. And input lag on the xb270hu is even lower than the rog swift.

And ye, you should always leave overdrive setting @ normal/medium for any monitor really.
